To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Cobra lamp, several designers were asked to reinterpret, with their personal inspiration, its character with a graphic texture. A tribute from all of them to Elio Martinelli who designed the lamp in 1968. 23 creations in limited edition of 30 signed and numbered copies, to which is added the texture of the young designer winner of the competition dedicated to young people under 35, Elena Volpi.
“The Cobra lamp is doubtlessly a timeless object. Still today, it fascinates for its modern shape and for how easily it fits any context. It accompanies you throughout life without ever dissipating its “beauty”. In some way, the famous speech by Charlie Chaplin to humanity in the film “The Great Dictator” possesses the same qualities. The symbiosis between these two fragments of history exalts them, freezing them in their perpetuity.” Studiòvo
