To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Cobra lamp, several designers were asked to reinterpret, with their personal inspiration, its character with a graphic texture. A tribute from all of them to Elio Martinelli who designed the lamp in 1968. 23 creations in limited edition of 30 signed and numbered copies, to which is added the texture of the young designer winner of the competition dedicated to young people under 35, Elena Volpi.
Cobra is an icon of Italian design. It has become so also thanks to the archetypal form that recalls sinuous curves and elegant movement. It was born 50 years ago; it has a lot of history to tell! It was born when psychedelic art expressed the sense of an introspective journey. It was born when Emilio Pucci fascinated the world with his fabrics. Pucci’s colors and the form transformed into a symbol guide the journey into the origins of Cobra.
